Accursed Shroud

Night has risen again. The strain of the sun's fall has widened the gash in the silver-edged shroud. No longer content or able, it waters the land with freezing blood, sharp and rigid, breaking anchor and prison chains alike. Cosmic retribution and redemption in one - a second coming of third to seventh.

SZET-VAAZYID, king of beasts beyond the shroud, their god and holy general, has risen again. As he was given life, so he takes it. He has nothing beyond instinct to feed. He lives in and relishes only himself.

EYIR-VAAZYID, queen of madness beyond the shroud, their stunted goddess and unholy apprentice, languishes once more in the mires of the real. She gifts the worm to her children, that they might never cease to run from themselves.

JYYTH-SZET-AM, what bitter corruption you have wrought! Planks and chains suffer your scarred visage to escape the whims of SZET-VAAZYID, and your wrath is outspoken, yet directed only towards false idols constructed by earthly lords of chaos.

OAUHRI-EYIR-AM, gazer at the black mirror, wanderer and melancholy searcher, peers again through the glass and pines for what she may easily have. Listen! you are held in the weakest of prisons, and you leak your poisons into the peaceful wood.

CZAVATH-SZEYIR-ATH, dark reflection, you are freed! Though the path be slow and stony, and you have only just begun to climb, no chains may hold you beyond those which you hold yourself. Orient yourself for heights unexplored, grab hold of your desires and pull yourself ever upwards.

DYIVYAD-SZEYIR-MAT, you are freed in death! Rejoice that you have never suffered what it means to be a god of flesh.

MATHYYK-SZEYIR-BAT, unbroken, trust only your own eyes. The eyes of SZET-VAAZYID only lie, and the eyes of EYIR-VAAZYID have only seen false things. When you return to the darkness of the shroud you will find solace in what is visible to you alone.

Night has fallen. The sun rises again, and the veil is mended. When again the children of the shroud return to the real, they may yet be loosened for capture or reform.
